Blake did really good at baseball this year. He is the loudest cheerleader in the dugout.

He is getting really good at hitting the ball. He doesn't swing hard it drives us crazy, the kid would hit it so far if he would just SWING!

He loves to run the bases! He is fast and watches the ball really good. He had so much fun with his dad as his coach this year.

Blake received an academic award at school this year. He works hard at school, he is smart and can figure out his homework all by himself. He writes neat and cares about his work. He can concentrate when working. He is a great reader. He counts, spells, and practices saying his "R" words all the time. We are so proud of you Blake and we love you!

Baseball has once again started. Davis has some good coaches this year! I am really excited that he can understand them. Last season he had a hard time understanding some of the "pidgen talk". Davis has been starting at 3rd base for the first two innings, then he moves to Pitcher, and then 1st base. He is having a great time and making some good plays. It really stresses me out to watch him pitch but he has confidence and is doing great!

Merry Christmas!

We spent the day at the Ko' Olina with The Wells. We were cold it was only 79. The Wells thought that we were nuts! It rained on us. The waves were huge 15-20 ft faces. We all got to see the Sea Turtles, but we couldn't feed them because all the sea weed washed away in the swell. We had a great time at the beach on Christmas day!

Tonight Blake was sitting at the computer, playing a game. When we heard a very LOUD burp. Now we have told him that he can't just let them out. He needs to try to either hold them in or cover his mouth. When we heard this burp, just having watched Elf the movie, I said "did you hear that?" Jarod yelled "BLAKE." Blake said "sorry, I tried to cover it up with my shirt, but it almost blew my shirt off!"

Yesterday was our 12 Anniversary, so we spent the day at Paradise Cove at the Ko Olina Resort. The Nowickis came with us. They have 3 kids; Madelyn, Alex, and Ella. The kids had the best time. They crawled on rocks, caught hermit crabs, picked seaweed and fed it to the Sea Turtles. There were 4 turtles swimming in the lagoon with them. We were there for about 5 hours when Davis was climbing a tree above the water and rocks. I didn't see it happen, he just came up to me holding his right side in a lot of pain and said "mom I hurt myself". I am so glad that he only got scrapes and bruises. He is so lucky that he didn't hurt his head. He ruined his board shorts, they were shredded on the butt. After he got hurt we packed up and went home.

It was the best Anniversary (except for Davis getting hurt), the beach was perfect. It was a warm day here in paradise. Being together as a family is what it is all about!

Veterans Day

We went on a hike to the Lighthouse on the Windward side of the Island today. We had a 40% chance of rain... but, 60% of our bodies got wet. When we pulled into the parking lot, Blake took one look up the paved trail and said "this isn't a hike, I am not going." We went with out friends Scott, Sharron, Madaline, Alex and Ella. The kids had so much fun. About half way up the trail it started to poor on us and the wind blew so hard. We kept going, and made it to the top. The view was amazing, and after a couple minutes it cleared up.

Blake had so much fun in soccer this year. He had his bes friend on his team Eric Evans. Matt, Jarod, and Scott coached the team. Blake played very well, he is aggressive and really gets into the game. When he is sitting out, he chases the team up and down the field cheering them on!

Davis really enjoyed soccer this year. He really liked to be the goalie. He is really good at that, he really loves to dive for the ball and punt it. He isn't afraid of the ball or the players. His team didn't do so well this year, they never won a game. Davis played hard every time, they didn't have enough players on their team so they never sat out for a break. There three players on the team that didn't like to play at all, unfortunately that is half the team. Maybe next year will be better.

Clay at 16 months. Clay has the bluest eyes, he is the nicest baby he will always share and makes sure Cache has what he has. He has a cute laugh and is always happy. He loves his milk. He can climb up anything. He is very strong. He is a cuddlier.

He loves to RUN, and make messes. He will bring you a diaper to change his bum. He loves his MOMMY, that is the word he says all day. He points with his middle finger and loves air planes. We love you Clay.

16 months, Cache is so so sweet. He always has a blanket in his hand and his thumb in his mouth. He says DAD and it is loud. He can throw a ball real hard and fast. Playing with balls is his favorite thing. He loves Clay and they are so much fun to watch when they play together.

Cache loves Blake and loves it when he plays with him. He has the cutest laugh. Dad is his favorite. He gives kisses and waves goodbye. We love you Cache.

Davis, so happy that he got the bike that he wanted for 99 days. Every time we would go to Costco (and that is a lot) we would have to go to the bikes to make sure they still had it.

We had Davis' birthday party early he turns nine on Oct. 9th. He had a party with Frank Bell his best friend whos birthday was the end of Sept. We had the party out front of our house at the big park. We played dodgeball, Football and Kickball. We had pizza and cake. Everyone had a great time.

This was everyone who came. The Evans', The Bell's, the Truner's, The Pothiers, The Nowickis, The Fortescues, and Clair and her husband. Thanks for comming everyone!

We went to the Air Force Air Show yesterday. It was so much fun. The kids all had a great time. There favorite part was when on of the Thunder Birds went really slow by us letting out a lot of exhaust.

Blake is not afraid of the water and the last few times we went to the Ocean he has gone way out in the water. This last time he was in the water for 3 hours! He was side by side with Abby Potier in the water all day. He is getting really good about riding in the waves. The harder he crashes the more awesome he thinks that it is.

Davis' friend Frank has been surfing so Davis decided that he wanted to try. Jack Bell Franks brother took him out and told him what to do and Davis being the natural little athlete got up the first two tries.
He was so proud of himself and he had so much fun.
The bottom picture is him jumping off just as he was riding the wave on the beach. We are so proud of him. Go Davis!

Davis and Blake swimming at Ko Olina with a Sea Turtle. They thought this was the coolest thing. Blake couldn't find the Turtle at first until the Turtle was 2 inches from him swimming directly at him.

We were so close we touched it. It is against the law to touch them. It swam right between Jarods legs he was holding Cache and almost fell over trying to spread his legs far enough a part so it could pass between them.

It was real neat to see this and to be this close. The kids fed it seaweed. They want to go back soon so they can see it again.

Ko'Olina

Jarod is in Washington D.C. and I was feeling very brave and took the kids to Ko'Olina. The water is very smooth here
(because they are lagoons) so the twins can get out of the stroller and crawl around. They had the best time. They found out quickly that the wet sand is not hot. They loved when the water came up on them a little. Cache loves the water and kept crawling into the ocean. He kept his head up when the water got high. Clay would get wet but when the water started coming in he crawled up the beach which made it easier to save Cache from the water.
This is the first time we have let the Twins get out of the stroller at the beach and play in the sand and they had the best time.
Jarod gets home next Friday and on Saturday he wants to go back to Ko'Olina and play with the kids on the beach.
It was stressful with just me, but Davis and Blake were big helpers.

Dodge Ball

After fireworks Davis and Frank decided to have a game of dodge ball. Then the dads joined in, dads against kids. Then moms joined the fun, moms against kids. The kids wanted dads against moms MOMS WON! After the dodge ball was over Blake rolled all over the grass then everyone joined in. When we got home we made the kids shower again Blake didn't want to we told him he had just rolled around where the dog poops and he needed to be clean. He was in the shower crying when Jarod asked him are you mad that we are making you take another shower he said NO I am mad at you because you let me roll around in dog poop. Too funny! We had the best time. It was one of our favorite July 4Th's.

4th of July

We woke up and got ready for the ONLY parade on the Island. I am sure they do things on the Military Bases but we aren't Military. So we went to Kailua, about an hour into the parade Davis and Blake were done. We loaded back up and came home got ready for White Plains where the waves were 6-10 faces. We were there with all our friends Bells, Pothiers, and Ronda (Eric and Dara were with their dad). Davis and Katie body boarded together most of the time, he is really good (JR next time you come he will show you how it is done). Blake played with Grace and Abby asking every 20 min when Eric was coming. They ride the waves close to the beach and let themselves just get rolled by the breaking waves. Cache and Clay got into the action too Cache loves the water loves to have crash into him. Clay not so much he will lift his feet right under his bum and hold on for dear life.

Clay is the smiliest kid, you turn on the camera and he knows just what to do. He is into EVERYTHING. He doesn't sleep through the night, he needs cuddle time with mom and dad. He is walking slowly. He crawls very fast. He can say mama all day long. He also says boppy, ahh ooo, and sometimes dad. He is always on the go. He loves to climb the stairs for bath time. He loves to be snuggled. He will tickle your arm. He bits! He loves when people pay attention to him. He loves going for a jog in the stroller. He loves Cache. He loves his mommy. He yells at us already. He does this cute thing with his hands out straight and screams! It is Jarods favorite. He wants mommy to give him a milk at night, and screams at Jarod if he trys (I love it). We sure love him.

My sweet Cache... He is always giggling and getting into things. He likes to pull Blakes hair. He kneels on one knee and stands on the other foot. In the tub he goes CRAZY! He loves to watch the computer. He is a thumb sucker. He loves the outside. He love to go for jogs in the stroller. He can scream LOUD... He loves his little blankies, his favorite is the silky tag on the blanket. He has slept through the night since he was 3 months. He crawls so fast, he loves to chase Clay around. Blake has lost his two front teeth with in a week of each other. I being the dentist in the family pulled them both out. Just a little hint for all you other dentist out there, if you put some baby teething gel on it they wont feel a thing. Blake is getting so big and is so cute without his front teeth!

School Awards

Blake and Davis both were invited on the stage at the award ceremony at school this year.
Blake got an Academic Award and Perfect Attendance we are so proud of him and all the awesome work he did this year.
Davis got the award of Student of the Semester, which includes being a role model. We are so proud of him for getting this award, for being respectful, kind, and an all around great kid. We love you boys great job!

OK so its not chocolate cake but still...
I was upstairs getting ready for the day, Davis walks into my room and I ask him what the Twins are doing and he says laying down I think. This makes sense to me because it is quiet... But you should always know better when things are quiet because its not the quiet when they are sleeping.
I came down stairs and saw the mess. Let me explain, in our small house the back door is right next to the diaper bag and about 6 inches from Caches foot is a chair that Blake is sitting on playing X BOX. Back to the mess. I see it and thought well @$%& at least it isn't chocolate cake, as I am grabbing the camera. The Twins got into the diaper bag and took out the big bag of goldfish (from Costco) who knows how many they ate, but while I took pictures Clay shoved in about 10.
I am taking pictures of Cache and Clay, as Cache crawls away I keep taking pictures of Clay (which were really cute). While taking the pictures, Clay is just shoving the goldfish into his mouth, so cute... so I keep taking snapping away. While I am snapping away... Cache gags on all the fish that are in his mouth and THROWS UP!!! (no pictures of that, your welcome).
Got the mess all cleaned up and changed both babies, time for lunch but guess who isn't hungry?

Cache had so much fun with the wrapping paper, and the big ball he chased it all over the house while dad put together our Leapfrog Table.

Clay no to interested in the paper like Cache he like the camera pointed at him and likes it when the flash goes off. The Twins got an outfit from Grandma and Grandpa Brown. The Robinsons sent a outfit and cut toys that they throw around and chase. The Bells gave then overalls and a shirt. The Pothiers gave them an outfit and a sorting shape toy. The Turners gave them trucks. The Evans gave them toys and swimming suits. Grandma and Grandpa sent a gift but didn't get here, it should get here today.

We got them the Leapfrog table and push behind ride on toys and bath toys.

Cake Time

I thought that this would be the highlight of the day since we all know they love cake... referring back to the chocolate cake in the trash that was spread all over the house. Clay started off with his fingers in it being so careful.

Cache wanted nothing to do with his cake. I gave him a bit of it and he acted like he was going to gag, so this is as far as he got. Then he drank water out of a sippy cup to get the cake out of his mouth.

Davis and Blake loved there cake and ice cream, thankfully they are old enough not to get it everywhere.

Clay loved his frosting he was so cute about eating it, slowly he would get some on his fingers then wipe it all over himself... So cute Clay. In the end we were disappointed we thought for sure that this would be the biggest mess they have made yet. The chocolate cake in the trash, all over them, and all over the house topped this. I guess I should be thankful... Right?

One Year Ago Today!

One year ago today Davis and Blake welcomed Cache in to our Family. They were so excited for the Twins to FINALLY be here.

Cache on the left and Clay on the right. I still remember how small they were, but can't believe they both fit inside my belly.

They could both fit in the bassinet. Cache has the white Binky and Clay has the Blue one. Throughout the year they have grown so much. The first four months were the hardest of my life. I slept on the recliner down stairs the first 6 weeks, I remember laying down flat for the first time it was awesome. Cache rolled over first, at four months when we were in Utah. Clay did it shortly after. Clay was the first to crawl, Cache did an army crawl for a while. Clay would crawl away from Cache and he would scream talk to him
( where are you, and how did you do that). They chase each other all over the house like playing tag or peek a boo. They play so good together. When they were getting their first teeth at 8 months Cache had the worst rash, I was changing his diaper and he was screaming Clay came over and kissed him on the face, so sweet. Clay is walking and Cache is close behind. They make messes all day long from pulling out all the towels to all the Tupperware. They love bath time and snuggle time at bedtime. We love them so much, they are such good babies. Cache is a funny kid he giggles at himself all the time. Clay says mommy all day long. They love to escape out to the back yard. They love their older brothers. We made it through the first year, double the sleepless nights, double the dirty diapers, double the feedings (I do not recommend nursing Twins, hardest thing of my life). We made it through the neighbor coming over offering to help, I think he got tired of the crying. I don't know how we did it without help from family. I don't know how we got through the year doing the things we did. We are so blessed. We are so blessed to have Cache and Clay in our family. Happy Birthday Twins! I love you...

We gave Cache and Clay their cupcakes then Clay crawled on top of his and sat on it. He was screaming, not happy at all.

Cache touched his with his finger, then sweet Abby thinking that this is a wedding picked up the cupcake and shoved it into Caches face. It was all fun to watch, the kids all had so much fun at the party. By the time we got home and all bathed it was bedtime.

We had such a fun party for the Twins. We all met at Geiger Park. We played kickball, ate pizza and watermelon. All the kids played and played they all had so much fun with only 3 break downs. This is Suanne feeding clay watermelon he loved it!

Davis got the chance to pitch for his team this year and really liked the power that he had to control the game. He would always ask how he did, although he was well aware of how he did he just wants us to tell him.

He only hit one batter all year but he bent down into the pitch, which is what Davis says is the secret to getting on base, let the pitcher hit you with the ball.

He is the smallest and youngest on the team, we moved him up so he could play with his friend Frank who is in the older league because his brother Jack is 11. Smart of Suanne to put the boys on the same team so she only has to go to one practice and one game.

The season is now over it was a good one. Coach Mason was a good coach, when Davis would get yelled at for not doing what he asked I would ask him why he wasn't listening and he said he couldn't understand his pegion talk. Davis also played 1st, 2nd, and the outfield.

Swimming lessons

My friend Suzie has been teaching Davis and Blake how to swim we go after school on Mondays and Wednesdays. They are really doing well and they love to go. Blake asks all the time if today is swimming lessons.

So this is why I haven't blogged in a while... Jarod was working late on week... then he was off Island for 9 days... then he was home 5 days... then he was off to Virginia for 6 days.
while he was gone we were so busy school, home work, baseball practice, baseball games, Mothers Day. Not to mention bathing the Twins and feeding everyone. Well I made it and I will post some more later.

It is so much fun to watch the Twins play. They will fight over toys and chase each other around. People are right when they tell you they intertain each other I just sit and watch it.

When Grandma, Grandpa, and Ty came to visit us we really wanted to do some hiking. My good friend told us about this hike, it was about 5 miles round trip we really excited to go.

This is Ty and Jarod, we could hear a barking noise so they went to check it out. After checking it out they discovered out that it was a blow hole in the rocks, when the waves came in the it made a barking sound.

We saw Monk Seals, we got up really close to them. They are getting warm on the rocks. They swim up and take breaks on the beaches and the rocks, then off again in the Ocean.

Dara and Davis. We had a family birthday party for Blake and Eric. We went to a pool, the kids love to swim. They also played hide and seek they had so much fun.

Pine Wood Derby

This is our first Pine Wood Derby we were so excited. Jarod, Davis, and Blake did an awesome police car. Jarod used a scale that once was used for weighing drugs, the paint job was a great one we were ready to race. So last Tuesday night we were so excited to go to the Chruch and try out the FAST police car.

When we got to the Church we weighed Davis' car on the scale and... it doesn't weigh enough (that drug dealer was ripping people off) so we improvised a little. I took out my gum we put it on the car with a quarter stuck to the top. Now I mentioned that this was our first car and apparently there are some secrets that Jarod was not aware of. Our car was not the fastest, or even in the top three which is good because I didn't know if you win it goes to the stake level. By the time the Twins have to do this Jarod will know all the secrets.

Blakes Baseball

There is nothing better at the end of the season then to get a trophy! Blake had his last T-Ball game on Saturday it only lasted 1 inning and then broke into a Easter Egg Hunt. After the Egg Hunt was over the team got together to hand out the trophy's, candy leis, and pictures. Blake is pictured with his three coaches the head coach is John and the phrase you hear him say the most is PAY ATTENTION!!! What do you expect they are 5 years old. Blake had a great time playing and he is really good can't wait until next year!

The Bleaks visit

The Bleaks came to visit us in March 09. We had so much fun with them. We went to Ko Olina, played on the beach, swam, and watched the sunset.
We barried all the kids in the sand, it is a lot easier to watch them that way.

We all had fun at the PCC. This is our favorite place there it is Samoa. In Samoa the ice cream is free but the spoon will cost you $5.00 my kids think that is so funny and still say it all the time. Jarod and Mike went golfing at Turtle Bay and they had so much fun. We had a great time with the Bleaks and can't wait for them to come back to visit us.

They look so innocent don't they?

Well their not... I went upstairs to shower and forgot to put the garbage up so they couldn't get it. I came back down to check on them. I turned the corner at the stairs and saw the destruction. I had just thrown away 3/4 of a chocolate cake, there was french toast, plastic and paper all over the Twins and all over the floor.

They had chocolate cake all over themselves and I mean all over. It was massed in their fingers and toes. When I saw the mess I screamed "What the HELL!!!" and Cache started crying. I thought I would have to call Jarod home to help but come on I CAN DO THIS!

I carried Clay upstairs and put him in an empty tub, ran back down to get Cache, ran back upstairs put him in the tub. I just ran the water and it was brown. I had to soap and scrub the frosting off of them. When they were all cleaned up I took them downstairs and put them in the highchairs until the mess was all sparkly clean.

It took me about 45 min to accomplish this.

Blake received an award for being an Academic Student of the semester. He is doing so well in Kindergarten and he loves his teacher. They really push the kids here and I love it. Blake can read and write sentences very well. He likes to play hopscotch and he can hula hoop. I think his favorite is to chase the girls at recess with Eric. I know that the girls love it, although they call each other the arch enimee.

Blake and I made Valentine Cookies last Saturday. Blake did an awesome job frosting and adding the sprinkles. Then We went to the park and practiced baseball met some of our friends there and went out to dinner. We had a great Valentines Day.

Blake was playing in the backyard with friends today, they were playing with all the toys and Mater from "Cars" the movie made a noise Eric asked "what is that?" Blake said "oh that was mine when I was a kid" Eric said "you are a kid".

No it was a tornado. Yes that is right, I walked to school like everyday to pick up Davis and Blake. Well the sky turned black and the thunder crashed (which never happens here) and there was lightning. When it was time for the school bell to ring the VP got on the intercom and told all of the kids that it was going to start raining and to just go home right away. Davis got out of his class and then we got Blake, our friend was teaching in the next class so we went to talk to her for a minute, her boys and Davis went out side and they saw two funnel clouds and one touched. We watched the news and sure enough about 10 min from our house was a tornado. Crazy crazy that almost never happens in Utah.

So it seems like every year around this time Davis and I are sad. It is the annual Bret Favre retirement day. This year is different though, I do believe that this one is for real. We will miss watching him play every Sunday. I am glad that the Jets did better this year than the Packers however, I want him to retire as a Packer and go into the Hall as a Packer. Brett you will be missed thank you for all the times.
Umm... yes, I was more sad the day that Elway retired. He is my football hero.
