Today is Jarods Birthday!!! Yea 32, He went to work today and later we will have a party. He wants the Betty Crocker Party Chip cake for his special day, the kicker is that nobody on the Island sells the frosting to go with the cake. Sometimes this place drives me nuts, but everyone keeps saying you learn to deal with it. Well Jarod can deal with the wrong frosting but next week is Blakes Birthday and he wants the same cake. I am so glad that Jarods Parents are coming and with them bringing the right frosting for Blakes cake.
We bought Jarod a surf board for his Birthday, the kids are nervous that he is going to die in the ocean (we always tell scare them about dieing in the ocean so they wont go far, I know we are mean).
For diner tonight we are going to try the Chinese place around the corner from us, so we will see how that is. We tried the Mexican place that is next door and it was no good. WE MISS COSTA VIDA!!!!

Happy Birthday Jarod! We wish we were there to celebrate with you- sorry about your frosting. That is hilarious you tell your kids they will die in the ocean if they go to far- I think that is a great parenting tactic. :)

I hope Jarod had a fabulous birthday without the special frosting. My friend who lives on the Big Island cried everytime they went shopping for baby stuff when she was pregnant with her first. Her husband finally said, "Order anything you want online."
I'm sorry you are missing Costa Vida, but just think when you move from there you will miss the beach, sun, ocean, fresh pineapple, wearing flip flops everyday....

I guess you do learn to "deal with it", but it still stinks! Just think, you'll get to enjoy Target by next year. I wonder how different it will be from the ones on the mainland?! Now they just need to get a Babies R Us. When I had Tatum here, I wanted to cry everytime I had to go into USA Baby and see how expensive everthing is.
That Denny's is ALWAYS freezing! We went there for Brinlee's bday a few weeks ago and the girls ended up waiting outside until the food came. At least the Denny's is consistent with the mainland ones.
I was watching your slide show and I got all tear-e-eyed. I miss you guy so much. The boys are getting so big and watching jarod tie blakes tie is so cute.
